Touch Ranger weapon? - Guild Wars Forums

Ive recently made a touch ranegr build for my ranger and wondered, what is a good weapon to use? I have my Rotwing Recurve Bow, that thats for my poison ranger build. Any suggestions on what weapon to use?

blood recharge wands/foci for oob.

Most actually use the blood magic +1 30hp Focus.

See, OoB is the ONLY skill on your bar that would ever be effected by recharge 20%s so its a complete waste.

+30 hp makes you sacrifice more hp through oob.

+1 blood magic won't trigger on skills like touch/Bite

Rod with 20/20 Blood Magic and Focus with 20/20 Blood Magic.

Actually, yes it does. +1 blood magic triggers on SKILLS, and skills include spells.

30 HP makes the sac, literally, a maximum of 4-6 more HP lost. My normal setup, it makes me sac 4 more health. Not even enough to worry about.

and +1 blood DOES trigger on Touch and Bite, as well as OoB. Don't fight it out with me..I've been Touch Rangering off and on since before you probably even knew they existed.

Going 20/20/20/20 is a complete waste of the focus slot IMO. A 20/+5^50% wand is fine for that chance of recharge on OoB since no other one handed weapon really helps much. But doubling up and wasting a focus for it is absurb when the extra hp can be life or death, and +1 blood magic activates off your skills ALOT. Much more helpful than the slim chance that 20% will hit OoB.

Ok my fault. I thought every bonus was spells only. But still, get recharge for OoB for more energy.

I've used both...ALOT...and I still stick that just having recharge on the wand and going for the +1 focus gives much better results during the match.

The extra chance at the recharge on OoB doesn't really help much, cause first of all it almost NEVER hits OoB during the only times you'd need it too, and any other time it does you dont NEED the OoB recharging faster. Just because you can use a spell doesn't mean you should. A smart Touch Ranger just doesn't spam off OoB the second it recharges...you have to be smart about using it.

Use the Ugly stick and hit yourself with it, and reconsider your build cause touchrangers are dumb
